ITM Mongolia 2026 to connect tourism businesses with regional markets
The 27th edition of the event will showcase local tourism products, business partnerships and investment opportunities to international markets.

ULAANBAATAR — The ITM Mongolia 2026 international exhibition and forum, one of Mongolia's major tourism industry events, will be held at the Misheel Expo Centre in Ulaanbaatar from October 23 to 25. Organised for the 27th consecutive year by the Mongolian Tourism Association, the event aims to connect domestic and international tourism companies, local representatives and service providers while showcasing new products, business partnerships and investment opportunities.
Bringing local tourism products to market
Representatives from all 21 provinces are expected to take part in this year's exhibition, promoting their regions' tourism attractions, new routes, products and events. The exhibition will create an opportunity to promote not only tourism services concentrated in the capital, but also products based on local landscapes, cultural heritage and traditional ways of life.
Mongolia's competitiveness as a tourism destination depends not only on its scenic attractions, but also on the quality and accessibility of services offered to visitors, transport and logistics, and the diversification of products to reduce seasonal dependence. The exhibition will therefore give local businesses an opportunity to find new customers and partners, improve their tourism products and expand their sales channels.
Business partnerships and investment opportunities
ITM Mongolia 2026 is designed to expand cooperation among tour operators, travel agencies, hotels, tourist camps, transport providers and local organisations. Alongside presenting new products, travel routes and service offerings, participants will have an opportunity to establish business relations with domestic and international partners.
Business meetings of this kind play an important role in the tourism industry. Cooperation with foreign tour operators could help increase visitor flows to Mongolia, while hotels, tourist camps and local service providers could expand their markets and diversify their revenues.
Industry discussions and training sessions are also planned during the exhibition to facilitate the exchange of knowledge on service quality, international trends and new practices. However, the event's tangible business impact should be measured not only by the number of participants, but also by contracts signed, sales of new tourism products, investment attracted and changes in visitor numbers.
Sustainable tourism and Mongolia's economy
Tourism can generate income across multiple sectors, including hotels, transport, food production, handicrafts and local services. In particular, involving local residents in tourism supply chains can help create jobs, increase small-business income and stimulate regional economic activity.
However, the industry's long-term growth will continue to depend not only on increasing visitor numbers, but also on environmental protection, waste management, water use, service standards and visitor safety. Developing sustainable tourism requires protecting natural and cultural resources, increasing local participation and creating products that extend the tourism season.
ITM Mongolia 2026 will serve as a platform to discuss these issues alongside business opportunities and industry cooperation, while also presenting initiatives aimed at making Mongolia's tourism products more competitive in international markets.
The exhibition will be held in the Mega Exhibition Hall at the Misheel Expo Centre from October 23 to 25, 2026.
