A 41-member Mongolian team took part in the competition, held on October 11–12. More than 3,000 professionals from over 50 countries competed, with A. Bayarmagnai winning gold in the men’s hairstyling category to become a two-time world champion.

His younger brother, A. Amgalanbayar, won two silver medals, while the brothers also claimed a silver medal together in the team event.

Showcasing Mongolia’s professional skills on the world stage

OMC Hairworld is one of the leading international competitions for professionals in hairstyling, makeup, beauty and nail art. It assesses competitors’ technical ability, creativity and understanding of fashion trends, while providing an opportunity to compete at the professional level.

Mongolian hairdressers and beauty professionals have also achieved success in international competitions in previous years. In 2024, for example, the Mongolian team reportedly won a gold trophy and other medals at the OMC Hairworld competition in Paris.

This latest achievement goes beyond the individual success of two competitors. It is also important for expanding professional training, skills development and international cooperation in Mongolia’s hairdressing industry.

Success in professional competitions can have a positive impact on the quality of domestic beauty services, the adoption of new styles and trends, and the development of young professionals’ skills.
